Job description
The Instrument Technician Coach is responsible for developing the competency and capability of HKN Syria’s instrument and control (I&C) technicians through structured on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and training across production and gas processing facilities. Working alongside technicians during maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, GE Mark V turbine controls, and PLC, DCS, ESD, and fire & gas systems, the role transfers knowledge and builds practical skills, safety awareness, and workforce independence.
The position requires strong instrumentation and control expertise, extensive hands-on field experience, and a proven ability to coach, assess, and develop technicians while promoting HSSE and permit-to-work compliance in a remote field environment.
