• IV-WP1 Department: Cardiac Telemetry Unit Shift: 7AM-7:30PM/ 24 hours per week/ 48 hours per pay period/ Weekend Pay Program Facility: Upper Valley Medical Center General Summary/Responsibilities: The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education

Diploma Program Diploma Program Licensure/Certification/Registration Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Current healthcare provider BLS certification required prior to completion of orientation Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 year of hospital experience as an LPN Knowledge/Skills Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor Basic computer knowledge Strong organization skills Effective interpersonal communication skills
