We are seeking a Digital Associate Producer to create digital-friendly journalism with our Special Projects team. This position will be based in our Chicago newsroom. Position Description Assist in planning and execution of special projects, which can include stories and social posts publishing on future dates or on the same day as breaking news Update News.

Nation digital platforms (website, app, email, social) with breaking news and topical news of the day Craft compelling headlines, teases and social media posts that encourage followers to engage with our journalism Package content that encourages audience engagement to stay on the page longer or view more pages per visit Edit wire and local network-affiliated content for a national audience Clip broadcast segments for publishing across all digital platforms and social media channels Utilize SEO best practices Qualifications Experience working with video and social media Excellent communicator, both oral and written Early morning, late night and/or weekend and holiday shifts may be required Bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience Compensation Range: $44,000 - $45,000 Benefits : Our comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees includes, but not limited to, medical (with multiple plan options), dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) with company matching contributions, Paid Parental leave, life insurance and more.
