Learn more at https://www.dreamwear.com/our-brands We are seeking a Product Development Assistant to join our Shapewear team, supporting the development of shapewear across multiple brands within the Dreamwear portfolio.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the full product development lifecycle in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Our Product Development team serves as the critical link between Design and our global factory partners, helping transform creative concepts into commercially viable, production-ready product.

For shapewear, this requires particularly close attention to fabrication, fit, construction, functionality, quality, and performance, while balancing cost and delivery requirements. The team coordinates sample development, communicates product specifications and approvals, and tracks each style from initial development through production.

The Product Development Assistant will support the team throughout this process, coordinating with overseas factories and internal partners to keep samples, approvals, purchase orders, and production milestones moving forward. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to develop strong technical and product knowledge within the intimates and shapewear categories. Duties & Responsibilities Communicate daily with overseas manufacturers and production offices regarding product development, sampling, approvals, and production status.

Assist with the development and execution of shapewear styles from initial concept through production. Prepare purchase orders for overseas factories and track production and delivery status to support on-time execution. Maintain time-and-action calendars and production tracking charts, proactively following up on upcoming deadlines and outstanding items.

Initiate and track development samples, material requests, lab dips, testing, approvals, and other product development submissions. Follow up on product specifications, quality standards, sample deadlines, testing requirements, and deliveries. Partner with Design and PD teams to help ensure fabrics, trims, construction details, fit requirements, and other product specifications are accurately communicated to factory partners.

Enter and maintain accurate product information within our production management system, including style setup and purchase order creation and maintenance. Coordinate and track pre-production, photo, customer, and TOP samples. Receive, organize, and distribute incoming samples and packages from overseas vendors. Maintain organized product development samples and reference materials throughout the office.

Identify outstanding items and potential timing issues and escalate them to the appropriate PD team member. Assist Product Development Managers with additional projects and seasonal priorities as needed. * This job description is not intended to be exhaustive.

Duties and responsibilities

Job Requirements & Qualifications 0–2 years of relevant work experience; prior internship or work experience in apparel, intimates, shapewear, product development, production, or sourcing is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple styles, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.

Excellent organizational and follow-through skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable following up with both internal teams and external partners. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions, learn, and take ownership.

Interest in apparel construction, fit, fabrics, and the product development process; interest in intimates or shapewear is a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong desire to learn, develop, and grow within the company.

Compensation

& Benefits The base salary range for this position is $52-58k yearly. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual salary offered will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives.
