Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20 minutes Reason for Coverage: Vacancy (Medical Leave) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency (Vendor) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults, Pediatrics, Neonate Average Daily Volume: 10-12 Rounding: Both assigned & unassigned patients Case Mix: Cardiovascular surgery (urgent, emergent, outpatient), potential clinic cases FACILITY INFORMATION EMR: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in CV Surgery Active AR license or IMLC Certification: ACLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide on-call coverage for cardiovascular surgical patients, including urgent, emergent, and outpatient cases.

Manage and treat surgical patients in the hospital setting, including rounding and admissions. See patients in clinic for follow-up and consultations as needed (up to 10 hours per week). Collaborate with other surgeons and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care. Respond promptly to call backs within 20 minutes and provide timely surgical interventions.
