Quality Analyst

Objectives and Purpose of the Job: To efficiently and effectively adhere to laboratory procedures and operating standards. To support the required quality and food safety laws, regulations and corporate policies to ensure a representative level sampling is achieved. Responsible for following and enforcing mandatory policies and standards of Food safety/Quality system requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct assessment on incoming raw milk. Evaluate the effectiveness of the cleaning procedures, the appropriate use of cleaning agents and the strength of chemicals used to clean parlours Assist in ensuring the adoption and practice of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Support the implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Systems , including HACCP programmes Conduct microbiological analyses of raw milk.

Collection and sampling of feed for external testing Conduct laboratory inventory - adequate supplies of chemicals and materials Take appropriate action to ensure that all laboratory instruments and equipment are operating to specifications. Participate in good housekeeping, food safety and general safety initiatives as required by the Company.

Prepare monthly KPI reports. Conduct QA monthly inventory. Assist with Internal and external farm audits. Perform other assigned related duties as required Late work may be necessary as the work dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, and /or holidays Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications: Tertiary Certification in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology or related field.

Training in Good Manufacturing Practices Minimum one (1) year related working experience, preferably in a manufacturing company Abilities; Skills; Experience; Aptitude and Judgement; Working Conditions Exposure to Food Safety, Pest Control and Sanitation Systems Disciplined, high attention to detail and ethically sound Safety management The employee needs to be in good physical condition and have excellent vision.
