Fire Systems Testing and Commissioning Lead

About the Employer Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia. Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities. The Opportunity Lead fire-protection and life-safety systems through testing, integration and operational handover on a major road-infrastructure project.

Your Work

• Plan commissioning methods, schedules, readiness checks and functional and integrated testing.
• Coordinate specialist vendors, subcontractors and engineering teams across electrical, mechanical and control interfaces.
• Review results and certification against specifications and applicable standards.
• Drive defect and non-conformance resolution and support emergency-response testing.
• Complete as-built, operating and maintenance and commissioning records for handover.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

• Demonstrated fire-systems commissioning experience, ideally on tunnels, major infrastructure or complex building services.
• Strong knowledge of detection, suppression and associated life-safety systems.
• Experience leading contractors and multiple technical disciplines through commissioning.
• Ability to prepare test plans, procedures and schedules and interpret relevant Australian Standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder communication and commitment to safe, compliant systems.
