Reporting to the Graphic Design Manager and Creative Senior Manager, o ur Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing promotional and marketing creative assets across multiple e-commerce brands, including Missouri Star Quilt Co.
(MSQC), Webs (yarn.com), and Love. Crafts. Operating with independence and strong visual execution, our Graphic Designer turns marketing strategies and campaign briefs into engaging visual assets that drive customer conversion and elevate brand identity across digital and print channels. This role handles end-to-end promotional graphics while collaborating cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and copywriting teams to streamline asset production and reduce reliance on freelance design resources.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Promotional & Marketing Visual Design: Concept, design, and execute high-quality digital and print promotional collateral for MSQC, Webs, and Love. Crafts, including email banners, website landing pages, social media assets, digital ads, promotional flyers, and merchandise feature graphics.
Multi-Brand Brand Consistency: Uphold and creatively apply distinct brand style guides across all three e-commerce properties, ensuring visual harmony and message clarity across all promotional touchpoints. Campaign & Brief Execution: Work closely with cross-functional partners, copywriters, and marketing leads to translate campaign briefs and business objectives into high-converting visual assets within established timelines.
Production & Asset Delivery: Manage production deliverables independently from concept through QA and final asset delivery, maintaining organized design files and adhering to technical specifications. Workflow & Resource Optimization: Execute core promotional deliverables to minimize reliance on external freelance design support, while coordinating with freelance contractors during peak promotional volumes as needed.
Design Innovation & AI Integration: Proactively research visual trends in craft, quilt, and retail e-commerce. Utilize AI design tools for concepting and modeling graphic design solutions to increase design efficiency and impact. Special Projects: Assist with special creative initiatives, proof-of-concept visual explorations, redesigns, and cross-brand presentations as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
& REQUIREMENTS Education: Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent professional design experience required Experience: 2–4 years of progressive, professional graphic design experience, preferably in a retail, e-commerce, or multi-brand environment. Technical Skills: High proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In.
Design). Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets). Experience utilizing AI tools for design concepting and asset generation. Solid photo editing and retouching capabilities. Solid understanding of digital design principles, print production standards, layout, and typography. Portfolio: A robust digital portfolio demonstrating versatile promotional, e-commerce, and marketing design work across digital and print channels.
KEY COMPETENCIES Creative Execution & Detail: Strong visual design sense with a keen eye for layout, typography, color theory, and technical precision. Time Management & Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail promotional environment. Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate smoothly across cross-functional teams and take constructive design feedback.
Initiative & Problem Solving: High level of self-direction and initiative to solve design challenges and streamline workflows with minimal supervision.
