- EULESS, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Summary: The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and ongoing evaluation of IT policies and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. IT Responsibilities: Oversees all technology operations and continuously evaluates them according to established guidelines. Devises and establishes IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the organization. Analyzes the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
Purchases efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software. Inspects the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. Identifies the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and reports to the CEO and Executive Team. Coordinates other IT professionals to provide guidance of technology needs of the organization.
Troubleshoots critical technology issues as they arise. Financial Management Within the scope of responsibility, adheres to billing for services, P-Card documentation, etc. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position requires supervision of subordinates that supports, motivates, and empowers the members of his/her team.
Ensures that all departmental human resources responsibilities are met including hiring, firing, staff training, career development, succession planning, equal employment opportunity, health and safety issues, evaluations and performance management for all staff operating each of the distinct programs. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

OTHER Time commitment: 40+ hours per week Overtime may be required Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends (flexible work scheduling to meet needs of organization/clients) Some travel may be required Criminal and educational background check Must use personal (non-agency) vehicle for transportation If driving frequently for VOA-TX business: MVR background check (good driving record) Valid Texas driver’s license Proof of Insurance Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must successfully complete any required training and acquire any required certifications within prescribed timeframes.

Preferred Health Care sector or Human Services sector experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Texas Drivers’ License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
