Instructional Assistant - Regular Education

We currently have one Instructional Assistant

• Regular Education vacancy available at James Buchanan Elementary School. This is a full-time, 10-month position that runs from August through June, following the school year calendar. The role involves a seven-hour shift each weekday during school hours, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Support students' educational and social development under the guidance of the classroom teacher. Assist with academic, behavioral, and organizational needs to promote student success. Provide individualized and small-group support inside and outside the classroom to encourage full participation in school activities. Communicate and interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Provide assistance with student personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and other self-care tasks as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate degree, 48 credits beyond a high school diploma, or completion of the District's Highly Qualified IA Program.
