CAD Drafter – Superior Walls Location: Northeast Precast, 4081 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ Job Type: Full-time Department: Drafting/Design Reports to: General Manager – Superior Walls Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; overtime may be required Pay Range: $20.00–$25.00 per hour Position Overview Northeast Precast is looking for a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to prepare custom shop drawings for Superior Walls, our precast concrete foundation system.

The ideal candidate has AutoCAD experience, understands residential construction drawings, and can work accurately while meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare shop drawings for Superior Walls foundation systems using architectural and structural plans. Review construction documents, site plans, and customer specifications. Update drawings to reflect customer revisions and engineering changes. Coordinate with sales, engineering, production, and field teams to confirm accuracy and buildability.

Follow Superior Walls design standards, applicable building codes, and internal quality guidelines. Maintain drawing libraries, templates, and standard details. Participate in drawing reviews and make redline revisions. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read construction drawings, foundation plans, and structural layouts. Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization skills. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to project changes. Preferred: Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.

Experience drafting Superior Walls or other precast wall systems. Knowledge of residential and light commercial construction. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This is primarily an office-based position at our Vineland location, with extended computer work. Occasional site visits or field coordination may be required.

Pay and Benefits The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00–$25.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
