Summary Delta Star Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician IV to support the reliability, safety, and performance of our facilities and production equipment. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and facility support across multiple trades, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, and fabrication.

What You’ll Do As a Maintenance Technician IV, you’ll perform advanced maintenance and repair work on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, execute preventive maintenance plans, support equipment installations and modifications, and serve as a technical resource for the maintenance team. Your work will directly contribute to equipment reliability, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.
A Day in the Life
Your day may include troubleshooting an electrical control issue, repairing a hydraulic system, performing preventive maintenance on production equipment, or fabricating replacement parts for critical machinery. You’ll work across multiple systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and facility infrastructure.
You’ll also help train less experienced maintenance technicians, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. Specific Duties Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures to determine root causes and corrective actions. Monitor equipment performance, safety, and operational effectiveness. Perform equipment failure analysis and unscheduled maintenance activities. Document repairs, equipment modifications, and maintenance activities in designated systems.
Perform maintenance work utilizing skills in welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and automotive repair. Design, construct, modify, and install equipment and systems as needed. Support building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, compressed air, and hydraulic systems.
Install, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility infrastructure. Perform preventative maintenance activities on all assigned equipment and machinery. Fabricate replacement parts when required. Safely operate overhead cranes and mobile cranes. Provide support and technical guidance to lower‑level maintenance personnel.
Train and mentor maintenance employees on troubleshooting, repair techniques, and safe work practices. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Report major equipment or facility issues to the Maintenance Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a highly skilled maintenance professional with broad technical capabilities, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting team development and operational excellence.
Position Requirements High school diploma, GED, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance environments. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems required. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude and plumbing experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Skills & Competencies Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems. Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities. Ability to perform complex repairs across multiple trades. Strong understanding of HVAC, automation, and environmental control systems.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance technologies. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, vendors, and leadership. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing operational needs.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Ability to train, mentor, and support lower‑level technicians. Compensation
for this position will be determined within the posted salary range based on factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, market competitiveness, skills, and certifications. For union-represented roles, pay is established by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
