Adult Services Case Worker
Job description
This position is partially or fully grant funded. Employment beyond the term of the grant award may be subject to approval by Executive Council. Here’s what you’ll be doing : Provides outreach services to families and develo ps individualized service plans . Assists with family placements, home safety checks, and monthly and regular clie nt visits .
Prepare case reports and documentation to present updates in Tribal Court. Arranges and schedules appointments and services for families as needed . Meets with Family Service Division programs and other tribal/county programs to provide information for case management for clients. Develops case plans concerning any tribal member , if an investigation supports an administrative or judicial finding th at the tribal member is in need of care .
W hat you’ll need to be successful : Associates Degree in human services or related field T hree years’ social services and case m anagement experience Ability to maintain on-call res ponsibilities : on-call approximately 18 weeks out of the year, as determined by staff schedules E vening and/or weekends , extended hours, irregular shifts and travel required Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds an d with co-workers at all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all privileged information Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the Tribe’s insurance Background Checks and Screening Requirements: Basic Background and Drug Screen (National Federal Criminal, State Criminal, County Criminal, National Sex Offender, Education Verification, Previous Employment Verification DOJ Fingerprinting DOJ Caregiver (Health or DCF Childcare Positions) DOT (Driver’s/CDL Checks) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work , Human Services, Education, Communication, and Psychology or related fiel d Knowledge and understanding of the Indian Child Welfa re Act (ICWA) Knowledge of reunification guidelines, processes and practices Benefits you’ll love: Approximately 5 weeks of paid time off annually 3 weeks of paid holidays Premium free health insurance Flexible spending accounts Short term disability Life insurance 401k with match
