Sterling Engineer with AKS Deploy-DSV

Role: Senior Open. Shift Platform Engineer Experience: 8+ Years About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Open. Shift Platform Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in deploying and managing IBM Sterling components on Open. Shift in an on-premise environment. This role requires deep understanding of Sterling Integrator (SI), SSP, SEAS, and ITX deployments on containerized platforms, along with strong expertise in enterprise databases such as DB2 and Microsoft SQL, preferably within Azure ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, configuration, and management of IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) and associated components (SSP, SEAS, ITX) on Red Hat Open. Shift (On-Prem).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for Sterling application deployments using Open. Shift operators, Helm charts, or custom pipelines.
• Optimize and troubleshoot Open. Shift clusters, including networking, storage, security, and resource tuning.
• Manage on-prem container platform lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching, monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
• Configure and maintain databases including DB2, MS SQL, and database components deployed on Open. Shift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, security, app engineering, DBAs) to ensure seamless platform integration and operations.
• Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, security posture, and deployment automation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guidelines, and architectural diagrams.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Sterling applications, containers, Open. Shift platform, and backend database systems.

Required Skills

& Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or container orchestration.
• Proven hands-on experience in deploying and managing IBM Sterling components (SI, SSP, SEAS, ITX) on Open. Shift in on-premise environments.
• Strong expertise in Open. Shift architecture, Operators, Routes, PVCs, Scaling, Security Contexts, etc.
• Experience with DB2 and MS SQL, including configuration, performance tuning, and connectivity.
• Strong understanding of containerization fundamentals (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD).
• Solid understanding of networking (DNS, TLS, Load Balancing), security, and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor in a fast-paced environment. Good to Have
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Hybrid Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Implement Git. Ops knowledge (ArgoCD preferred) Soft Skills
