Barback

Job Title : Barback Location : Rita's on the River, San Antonio, TX Hours : Full-time (Closed on Sundays) Overview: Rita's on the River is seeking an energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic Barback to join our team! You will be responsible for supporting the flow of service that ensures guests enjoy their time in our vibrant, Tex-Mex environment on the River Walk.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and professionally with a friendly attitude. Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Rita’s recipes and standards. Engage with customers, suggest drinks, and answer questions about the menu. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the preparation and storage of ingredients.

Adhere to all liquor laws and company policies regarding responsible alcohol service. Process customer payments accurately and efficiently. Restock and replenish bar supplies and inventory as needed. Assist with opening and closing duties, as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bar area. Collaborate with the rest of the team to create a seamless and positive guest experience.

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience is preferred. Good understanding of mixology and willingness to learn more. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once. Must be at least 18 years old and have TABC & Food Handler's certification . Must be available to work Monday through Saturday (Rita's is closed on Sundays).

Knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine and drinks is a plus.
