As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities

Screen residents as appropriate by practice acts, including history, systems review, applications of appropriate tests and measures, and implement precautions from the plan of care. Provide treatment to residents following the plan of care, working towards the treatment goal in collaboration with the resident and caregivers.

Complete all related documentation required for those services. Supervise temporary licensees, students, and support staff in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards. Attend and contribute to resident care, staff conferences, and other related meetings. Consult with and make referrals to other disciplines, agencies, and healthcare providers to address the comprehensive needs of our residents.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assisting program Must have a valid FLORIDA professional license by discipline Prefer at least one year experience in LTC, but qualified new grads will be considered Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence Passionate about post-acute rehabilitation and the older adult population Ability to relate and interact positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, family, professional, and facility staff About Us: At Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we are committed to providing a supportive family environment where each resident receives the finest sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care.
