Responsibilities include

preparing, developing, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses across multiple programs in the Department of Health Sciences and Risk Management, as credentialed and needed. Applicants should have the ability to teach across a broad range of disciplines, including courses in nutritional science, health studies public health, and other general healthcare courses within the department.

Teaching will be assigned based on the degrees, credentials, and licensures held by candidates, and on the program needs of the programs and department. Faculty are expected to maintain regular office hours, mentor students, and participate in course/program assessment. Arkansas State University is a public research university located in Jonesboro, AR.

Arkansas State University is designated by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education as a “Research 2: High Research Spending and Doctorate Production” institution. The Department of Health Sciences & Risk Management has a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary focus across its programs in Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management, Dietetics/Nutritional Science, Public Health, Occupational & Environmental Safety & Health, and Health Studies.

Teaching load is 15 hours (5 courses) per semester. Additional responsibilities include maintaining virtual office hours, developing and recording lectures, writing exams, grading, and participating in course/program assessment.
