Position: Financial Accountant Department: Finance Reports to: Finance Manager PURPOSE OF POSITION To ensure timely & accurate preparation of financial statements according to accounting standards and in line with corporate policy & procedures.

To prepare monthly month-end journals for posting, details of balance sheet schedules. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Month-end & year-end closing financial reporting; Prepare month-end and closing journals such in accordance to policies and procedures; Compile financial reports for various management; Ensure bank sheet reconciliations are complete on a timely and accurate manner; Check daily bank statements for abnormal items; Monthly VAT submission; Corporate tax compilation, submission and accurate payment; Property tax compilation, submission and accurate payment; Attend to Corporate queries and requests; Supervision of respective Finance sections, ensuring timely submission of all related reports and compliance to all policies and procedures; Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation schedule; Provide timely and accurate financial information to management; Prepare GL journal postings for month-end closing, including pre-payments, provision, allocations, memo accounts etc.

Control roster, staff assignments and discipline within the Finance Office; Lead and motivate, in conjunction with Director of Finance, the Finance team, with emphasis on the Raffles core values; Liaise with banking, accounting, external auditor, legal and government institution as required, building up and maintaining relationships; Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma/Degree in Accounting EXPERIENCE Minimum of 7 years relevant experience with at least 1 year in a similar capacity in a Hotel.
