Trainee Accountant - (Canadian Taxes)

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our team and support Canadian corporate and personal tax filings, GST/HST, payroll, and day-to-day bookkeeping. Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing T2 (corporate) and T1 (personal) tax returns under supervision Help prepare and file GST/HST returns and payroll remittances Maintain bookkeeping records, including data entry, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and basic financial reports Support the team in gathering information and drafting responses to CRA notices Organize client files and working papers, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate Learn and contribute to basic tax planning and year-end processes Requirements 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ACCA Affiliate/Part qualified Working knowledge of Canadian tax basics (T2, T1, GST/HST, payroll) Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or Xero Basic Excel skills Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills Clear communication and a willingness to learn Exposure to Case.

Ware or tax software (e.g., Tax. Prep, Turbo.
