Miami Valley Hospital DEPT: RESPIRATORY CLINICAL SUPPORT / PRN / HOURS VARY The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RRT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served.

The RRT will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote a great patient experience. The RRT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies. Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: Type of degree : Applied Science or Equivalent Area of study or major : Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements Preferred educational qualifications : Bachelor’s degree Licensure/Certification/Registration Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License, Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care), BLS, ACLS within 90 days.
