The Role
As a Tree Climber**, you are a critical anchor of our 2-to-4-person production crews. You will perform safe, high-quality tree removals, structural pruning, and plant preservation services. In addition to technical aerial work, you will help lead site safety, manage equipment, direct Groundsman Operations Specialists, and serve as a professional representative of Joshua Tree Experts on job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Execution:** Maintain strict adherence to company safety policies and ANSI tree care standards. Safely execute tree climbing, rigging, and aerial lift operations.
Crew Leadership:** Delegate daily tasks to Groundsman Operations Specialists while working closely with the Crew Leader to ensure efficient workflow.
Equipment Care:** Inspect, operate, and maintain assigned vehicles, power equipment, and climbing gear.
Professional Communication:** Represent the brand professionally on site, communicating clearly with team members, property owners, and the public.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:**
Experience:** 4+ years of professional tree climbing and aerial work experience.
Skills:** Proficient in tree rigging, pruning techniques, and aerial lift operation.
Education
& Credentials:** High school diploma or GED equivalent; valid driver's license.
Availability:** Reliable, full-time commitment (minimum 40 hours per week).
Preferred Qualifications:**
ISA Certified Arborist credential.
