Bilingual Collections Agent

Description We are hiring experienced Bilingual Collections Agents in Medellín, Colombia, to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a collections professional who is comfortable handling challenging conversations, negotiating payment arrangements, and working toward clear performance targets while maintaining a professional and compliant customer experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates with BPO or contact center collections experience , especially those who have worked in third-party collections and are familiar with FDCPA and collections compliance requirements .

What You'll Do

Handle inbound and outbound collections calls with customers professionally and confidently Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and work toward appropriate resolutions Negotiate payment arrangements based on established guidelines Handle objections, resistance, and difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism Follow collections policies, procedures, and applicable compliance requirements Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, account activity, and payment arrangements Meet individual and team performance targets Follow up consistently on outstanding accounts Protect customer information and maintain appropriate confidentiality Communicate effectively with English- and Spanish-speaking customers Compensation & Contract Structure $300-$315 USD per week Paid weekly, in arrears Performance-based commission opportunities Independent Contractor arrangement Full-time opportunity What We Offer On site and Remote work opportunity in Medellín Competitive weekly compensation paid in USD Performance-based earning potential Ongoing training and coaching Supportive, performance-driven team environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Hiring Process Our recruitment process is designed to identify candidates with the experience, communication skills, and collections knowledge needed to succeed in the role.

What We're Looking For

At least 1 year of BPO or contact center collections experience Experience handling inbound and outbound collections calls Experience negotiating payment arrangements and resolving delinquent accounts Knowledge of FDCPA and collections compliance requirements Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken Fluent Spanish communication skills Experience handling customer objections and difficult collections conversations Experience working toward individual or team collections performance targets Previous third-party collections experience is an advantage Previous hybrid or remote work experience is an advantage Must be located in Medellín, Colombia, and able to work a hybrid schedule
