  43. Installs electrical system components as assigned (e.g. panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded system capabilities.
  44. Maintains assigned vehicle, tools and test equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment in the workplace.
  45. Monitors the electrical / fire alarm / security system work of outside contractors (e.g. new school sites, electrical system upgrades/expansions, major remodels, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that the projects are satisfactory completed and within local / State / Federal and District codes, regulations and specifications.
  46. Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

  52. Repairs, removes, and replaces complete lift assemblies to repair malfunctioning parts and elements; and adjusts and/or repairs all lift systems and parts to ensure the fitness for use.
  53. Performs preventative maintenance and repair of all brands of passenger lifts on coaches, or other passenger lifts purchased by the District.
  54. Operates buses and repair vehicles for the purpose of making road calls; responds to on-the-road service calls; troubleshoots problems to determine if lifts are mechanically defective, and either repair lift while on the road, or drives coach to maintenance facility for repairs.
  55. Documents all work performed including record of repairs on driver’s defect cards; submits daily lift status reports to supervisor and dispatch; records all repairs in lift logs; and prepares and submits weekly reports to supervisor.
  56. Trains other mechanics or Road Supervisors on how to inspect transit passenger lifts.
  57. Operates forklifts, buses, overhead cranes, hydraulic lifts, hoists and shop tug for pulling disabled buses.
