Head Start Center Designee

Overview

The Head Start Center Designee serves as the on-site leader responsible for the day to-day coordination and oversight of Head Start operations at an individual center. This role ensures the smooth implementation of program activities, compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, and the maintenance of a safe, nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.

The Center Designee acts as the primary point of contact for staff, parents, and community partners, supporting classroom quality, family engagement, and health and safety practices. Working closely with program administrators, the designee helps ensure that the center reflects the goals and values of the Head Start program while meeting the developmental needs of all enrolled children.
