Clinical Laboratory Technologist Core Lab

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist conducts moderate to high complexity testing on clinical specimens in various areas of the hospital core laboratory department, including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, and chemistry. Performs quality control on all tests. Follows-up on out of range results and relays critical values to appropriate teams.

Utilizes the laboratory information system (LIS) to document examination results. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) or Medical Technology or Life Sciences. New Graduates accepted Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant clinical expertise in a hospital laboratory setting -- PREFERRED Current New York State License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as Medical Technologist (MT) Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as Medical Laboratory Scientist
