• Location 5007 N. Shepherd Dr. Houston, TX 77018. Esther’s Cajun Cafe & Soul food is looking for an experienced, dependable, and passionate Kitchen Cook to join our team! The ideal candidate will take pride in preparing delicious, high-quality meals, maintaining consistency in food preparation, and helping oversee daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and quality standards. Ensure all food is properly prepared, presented, and served in a timely manner. Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation. Maintain consistency in portion sizes, flavor, and presentation. Monitor food inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize food waste.

Ensure the kitchen meets all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to maintain an efficient kitchen. Help develop menu specials and make recommendations for menu improvements. Receive feedback and make necessary improvements to food quality and kitchen performance.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a chef, cook, or in a similar kitchen leadership role preferred. Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high food-quality standards.
