Senior Sous Chef | Luxury Property | Near Kruger National Park Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month (DOE) Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Senior Sous Chef for a prestigious luxury property near the Kruger National Park. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented culinary professional to join the leadership team at a world-class hospitality establishment.
The successful candidate will support the Executive Chef in delivering outstanding dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, kitchen operations and team development. Package & Benefits Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month (DOE) Employer provident fund Performance-based incentive/bonus (subject to company policy) Meals provided whilst on duty Annual leave in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and company policy Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Key Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef with the day-to-day management of kitchen operations Supervise, coach and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation and portion control Manage stock receiving, inventory control, ordering and supplier quality standards Assist with menu planning and recipe development Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, HACCP principles, SOPs and health and safety requirements Maintain operational records and standard operating procedures Promote a positive and professional working environment Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guests and operations Minimum Requirements Recognised culinary qualification Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or similar leadership role within luxury hospitality, boutique lodges, private clubs, fine dining or high-end restaurant environments Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills Passion for fine dining and exceptional culinary standards Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent stock control and administration skills Sound understanding of food safety, HACCP and occupational health and safety requirements Valid South African driver's licence (own transport advantageous) Willingness to live and work near the Kruger National Park Stable employment history with contactable references To Apply Please apply with your updated CV, contactable references and a recent head and shoulders photograph.
