Material Handler - 1st shift

The Material Handler, Shipping is responsible for loading and unloading materials, preparing outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records within the shipping and receiving area. Duties & Responsibilities ● Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products safely and efficiently. ● Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.

● Identify and label materials and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory. ● Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying location, then pulling, packing, and loading them. ● Ensure that all inbound and outbound loads are received and verified accurately. ● Operate trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to move freight; must obtain and maintain required certification.

● Perform and report cycle counts when needed. ● Comply with all warehouse safety rules and food safety guidelines. ● All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

● Experience working in a warehouse setting or logistics; experience operating material handling equipment preferred. ● Must be able to work well in a team environment. ● Ability to read, write, and follow instructions and work independently with little guidance. ● Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management software.

● Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends. ● Must obtain forklift certification prior to operating equipment. Physical Requirements ● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. ● Ability to pull, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, and lift in excess of 50 lbs. ● Extensive walking required throughout the shift.
