Surgical Tech

Description The PRN Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and providing appropriate surgical instrumentation and supplies. This position supports safe, efficient surgical operations while maintaining compliance with infection prevention standards, facility policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred. Current surgical technologist certification preferred; any required credentials must comply with applicable state law and facility policy. Previous experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferred. Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, infection prevention, and surgical counts.

Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and maintain attention to detail. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced surgical environment.
