OB/GYN Community Recovery Peer Coach- Part- time (less than 20 hours weekly)
Job description
The OSOP Community Recovery Coach is an integral part of the Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) team that is designated to conduct outreach and engagement to people with substance abuse during pregnancy and the postpartum period who will be referred from the Obstetrics Department. This individual provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery and reducing the risk associated with an overdose, improving engagement in Obstetric care and improving maternal and neonatal outcomes.
The OB Community Recovery Coach will assist in completing referrals to recovery support and substance use treatment services as well as developing service plans to promote successful linkage to referred services. Services will primarily be provided in the community.
