Apparel Manufacturing Quality Inspector

Newark, California, USFull-timePosted Oct 10, 2026

Job description

Apparel Manufacturing Quality Inspector Joining our team might just be the best bond you ever make. At CreateMe, we're done with thread. We build the robots and the glue that are changing how clothes get made, one seam at a time. Every day, our team is solving problems the industry has never solved before, creating technology that reduces waste, shortens supply chains, and changes what's possible in manufacturing.

We are currently hiring a full-time Apparel Quality Inspector Production Associate for our facility in Newark, CA. You'll be intimately involved with our revolutionary production process and be the last line of defense that makes sure every bonded T-shirt we ship meets spec. If you have a sharp eye and believe close enough isn't good enough, you'll fit right in.

What you'll do

Inspect what we are making at critical steps in production: cut parts, adhesive application, bonding and pressing, neckbands, seams, hems, labels, and prints. Monitor bonding parameters (temperature, pressure, dwell time, alignment) across our tools and equipment, and flag issues before they turn into defects. Perform final inspection before packing, checking construction, appearance, symmetry, and measurements against spec.

Identify and classify defects like bond failures, label lifting, adhesive residue, wrinkles, misalignment, and out-of-tolerance measurements, and make the Pass, Fail, or Rework call. Hold and segregate product that doesn't meet spec, support containment, and verify reworked product before it's released. Document inspection, defect, rework, and nonconformance results accurately so our quality data is something the whole team can trust.

Support first piece inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with Production and Engineering. Keep safety at the center of everything you do. What you bring: Experience. You’ve spent time in apparel or textile quality inspection. If you’ve worked with bonded garments, adhesives, or heat-press processes, that’s a big plus.

You take ownership. If something needs attention, you don't wait to be asked—you jump in and help. You sweat the details. Close enough isn't good enough. Precision, cleanliness, and consistency matter to you. You enjoy solving problems. You notice things that could work better and aren't afraid to suggest improvements.

You believe great ideas come from everyone. Whether you've been here two days or two years, your voice matters. You stay positive. You enjoy working with people, learning new skills, and tackling challenges together. You're ready to roll up your sleeves. You can stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

What you'll find here: Innovation: you're building new technology from the ground up, not just maintaining someone else's outdated systems Quality: because close enough isn't good enough here, we make sure every seam comes in under a millimeter, twice the precision of a needle and thread Made to Matter: what you make means less waste, less overseas shipping, more improving the world Seamless Support: comprehensive wellness benefits (medical, dental, vision, life), 401(k), PTO and training This role is onsite in Newark, CA and is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship; candidates must have full authorization to work in the United States.
