Child Sitting Services Volunteer

Role Summary

Volunteer Child Services staff support the safety, development, and well-being of children participating in programs or services. Volunteers assist with activities, supervision, and positive engagement in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support children during structured and unstructured activities Assist with age-appropriate educational, recreational, or enrichment programs Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Follow organizational child safety policies and procedures Communicate respectfully with children, parents/guardians, and staff Report concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors Desired Skills & Qualifications: Enjoy working with children of various ages Patience, empathy, and positive communication skills Ability to follow guidance and safety protocols Background check completion (required) SUPPORT & SUPERVISION: Volunteers will be supervised by the [Office Manager / Volunteer Coordinator / Program Director] and provided with orientation and ongoing support.
