Compliance Officer

Role: Compliance Officer Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join GAC's Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Compliance team in Sri Lanka. You will review business transactions proposed by GAC offices worldwide to check that they meet compliance and sanctions requirements, and work with international colleagues to manage risk and maintain good corporate governance.

This role suits someone who is detail-oriented and proactive. If you communicate clearly, think analytically, enjoy solving problems, and take integrity and compliance seriously, we would like to hear from you. What will your day at GAC look like? Review compliance questions from GAC offices worldwide and check whether proposed business transactions meet compliance and sanctions requirements.

Help implement GAC's global compliance program and promote good corporate governance and ethical business practices. Help coordinate compliance training for employees and prepare compliance newsletters and other communications. Identify compliance concerns and recommend actions to manage the related risks. Work with lawyers, service providers, and internal teams on compliance and sanctions matters.

Maintain compliance documents and records. What are we looking for?

Education

A degree in a field related to Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Compliance. Experience: Experience in a legal, compliance, or risk role is an advantage. Professional certifications: A professional qualification in compliance, law, or company secretarial practice is an advantage. Technical skills: Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Knowledge of international sanctions is an advantage. Strong business writing and documentation skills. Communication: Excellent spoken and written English. 5. Personal attributes: Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Proactive and ethical, with a strong sense of integrity. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teams in different locations.
