Job description
POSITION: Paraprofessional
- Gillis Campus Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (Starting salary depends on education and experience) Job Type: Full Time RESPONSIBILITIES: The Paraprofessional is responsible for providing classroom management in a small special education classroom using techniques to promote learning. This position assists the classroom teacher in performing classroom duties, for example grading as well as providing supervision during school hours including breakfast, lunch recess and in teacher’s absence. The Paraprofessional implements activities developed by classroom teachers, provides individual instruction to students and assists the teacher in record keeping and class preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and previous experience with children and families. An Associate’s Degree may be considered in lieu of years of experience. Must pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
