• Day Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation: Salary Range: $17.00 - $23.50 Union Position: No Department Details Clinic hours, Monday
• Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Summary Uses equipment to collect samples of blood and other fluids from patients/residents; explains procedures to patients/residents and collects information from them in a professional manner. Job Description Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
