Annual Salary: $55,594.50 - $59,104.50 Hourly: $28.51 - $30.31 Department: General Government, Stormwater Management Division: Stormwater Field Operations FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: In this role, you will operate a complex and technical piece of equipment used in the cleaning of drainage structures and pipes throughout the city.
Examples of Duties: Drives and operates a Jet Vactor truck in a safe and effective manner to clean pipes and drains throughout the city. Adjusts truck settings and watches monitoring system for proper water flow and pressure depending on the type of work being performed. Utilizes the correct cleaning tips and ensures proper water pressure and flow is regulated as appropriate for the cleaning tip selected.
Operates the suction hose and boom, checking the work area for proper clearance from vehicles, property, and overhead utilities. Completes daily work orders, inspecting and documenting completed work in daily reports to the foreman. Performs daily maintenance on equipment and documents inspections both pre- and post- work to ensure the truck and vacuum body are in acceptable working order, reporting issues to the shop immediately.
Responds to emergency situations after-hours as needed. Performs any other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
