Physical Therapist

Position Summary

Administers medically prescribed physical therapy programs and treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.# Directs and supervises employees of the department in the assigned work areas and participates in interdisciplinary care within the department and the hospital.

Education: Current Texas licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist.# Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of procedures involved in physical therapy with emphasis on human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.# Must have understanding of basic supervisory principles.

Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Patient lifting and transferring. Lifting and pushing of heavy and light equipment. Constant standing and walking. #
