Fire Safety Off I - 61099355 - FMO

Under regular supervision, responds to fire emergencies, rescues, hazardous material and medical calls occurring on a military installation.  Perform 24-hour standby for fire suppression and rescue operations under conditions that can be extremely stressful and dangerous.   Operate fire apparatus and other related equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, tools, protective clothing and other assigned equipment. Participate in training and evaluation exercises as required.   Provide medical assistance at the first responder or higher (EMR) levels. In the absence of a Senior Fire Officer assumes command of the emergency scene until relieved.
