Own the innovation roadmap for a platform area or solution portfolio Lead high-visibility client and executive engagements and strategic workshops Convert innovation concepts into funded, shipped initiatives Shape product and technology strategy decisions at the portfolio level Manage relationships with key strategic partners or customers Mentor and develop strategists and innovators earlier in their careers Plan budget and resourcing for innovation initiatives under your ownership Skills & Key Competencies Must-Have Technical Skills Owns the innovation roadmap for a platform area or solution portfolio Significant influence on product and technology strategy decisions Leads high-visibility client/executive engagements and strategic workshops Strong track record converting innovation concepts into funded, shipped initiatives People leadership: mentors and develops strategists/innovators Manages relationships with key strategic partners or customers Good-to-Have Technical Skills Experience presenting at industry conferences or analyst briefings Contribution to M&A or partnership evaluation Budget/resource planning for innovation initiatives Key Competencies Owns outcomes at the portfolio level, not just individual initiatives Builds durable relationships with strategic partners and senior customers Comfortable being the executive-facing owner of a high-stakes initiative Develops talent deliberately, not just as a side effect of delegation Balances multiple concurrent initiatives without losing strategic coherence Converts ambiguity into a fundable, resourced plan Required Experience & Qualifications 7–10 years of experience, including ownership of an innovation roadmap or solution portfolio
