Education

Sufficient to meet credential requirements KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

1. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, parents, and the public contacted in performance of duties
2. Demonstrated working knowledge of curriculum
3. Knowledge of registration procedures
4. Knowledge of counseling objectives, principles and procedures
5. Ability to listen to students with patience and understanding
6. Ability to identify and determine the basic nature of student problems and needs and provide assistance
7. Ability to provide career guidance and counseling on an individual basis
8. Ability to collect and analyze test data, conduct studies, keep records, and prepare reports
9. Knowledge of the ancillary services within the school and how they relate to the program
10. Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate personnel

13. Direct Services a. Study student characteristics b. Counsel students c. Confer with parents d. Group guidance
14. Provide coordinative and consultative functions to teachers, students and administration
15.
