Seasonal Bakery Manager

At Misericordia, our Bakery Seasonal Manager leads and supports a team of seasonal staff during the busiest time of year. You will provide coaching and instruction, answer inquiries, and help prepare baked goods, package holiday assortments, and assemble and ship customer orders.

As a Seasonal Manager, You Will: Supervise seasonal Bakery staff: Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance to seasonal team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to bakery standards Lead interviewing and onboarding: Conduct interviews, facilitate onboarding, and ensure all seasonal hires are properly trained and equipped for success Manage performance and provide feedback: Address performance concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to Bakery leadership as needed Serve as liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between seasonal staff and permanent Bakery team members to foster strong communication and teamwork Support production and operations: Assist with bakery production, packaging, and shipping as needed to maintain quality, accuracy, and timely fulfillment of orders Foster a positive and inclusive workplace: Collaborate respectfully with Misericordia residents, volunteers, and staff, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment Ensure cleanliness and safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, and remain flexible to adapt to changing demands during peak periods Perform additional duties as needed: Support other tasks or special projects as assigned to meet bakery goals during the seasonal period Training and Professional Development Misericordia is committed to helping employees continue to learn and grow.

You will provide coaching and instruction to seasonal team members, work alongside the permanent Bakery team, and gain hands-on experience in bakery production, packaging, and shipping. This temporary position has potential for permanent employment. What We’re Looking For GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic A spirit of joy - we’re looking for people who can laugh, smile, and find meaning in their work Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends Schedule Flexible shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including evenings and weekends Pay $22 per hour About Misericordia Misericordia Heart of Mercy is home to more than 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities.
