Heavy Equipment Operator I

The Dougherty County Public Works department is hiring on a continuous for a Heavy Equipment Operator I. The purpose of this position is to operate heavy equipment and trucks necessary for maintenance of grounds, buildings, and roads. Responsible for operating backhoes and bulldozers, loading and packing dirt, operating drag-line crane, clearing land, and constructing roads. This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
