Position Title: Demand Planner

• Bear Archery Group Reporting to: Director of Sales Status: Exempt Location: Evansville, IN Job Purpose: The Demand Planner will utilize advanced forecasting techniques to analyze market and product trends to develop seasonal demand forecasts and long-range plans. You will provide information, analysis, and recommendations to drive planning decisions for all products. This position works closely with Sales and Product Managers to create an integrated view. Reports and dashboards are created to provide additional data to sales and management team.

Essential Duties

/ Responsibilities Develop and lead inventory allocation strategies, develop contingency plans to offset risks. Drive forecast accuracy in demand forecast, track recent projections, and in-season allocation strategies to maximize opportunities. Understand forecast and inventory levers to explain variance and trouble shoot strategies.

Identify and create ad hoc reporting which helps inform and drive allocation opportunities and future strategies. Provides insight regarding the level of inventory to maintain per product line Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a Business, economics, logistics, supply chain management specialty preferred.

1+ years’ related experience (forecasting, retail planning & buying demand planning) in sporting goods or consumer products. Specialized computer skills such as SAS or ERP, planning skills and reporting skills Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management.

Expert level Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS office tools Exhibits appropriate risk-taking behaviors. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment. Physical Demands Sitting, talking, and listening at least 2/3 of the time Lifting up to 10 pounds Working Conditions Office environment Occasional domestic travel required.
