Teacher: English

10-Month Position JOB GOAL : To provide an approved educational program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help students develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate for English K-12 or ability to obtain certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program. Holder of Certificates of Eligibility must complete the 50-hour pre-professional experience as required by the NJ Department of Education. Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.

Ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
