Substitute Instructional Assistant - American Sign Language (ASL)

Job Summary

Under general supervision, this journey-level technical instructional assistant position translates conversation and provides intensified learning experience for students who are deaf or hard of hearing; and performs a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for teachers and students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Requirements

/ Qualifications MUST ATTACH PROOF OF:

• Passing the CBEST, or
• Having completed two years of college (48 units), or
• An AA degree or higher, or
• Must have passed the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing prior to the job posting closing date, if you are using this for education requirements. -Must have Certification by the Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID) or equivalent.
