Automotive Detailer - Clay, NY

Davidson Ford of Clay has immediate openings for an Automotive Detailer! This position is great for someone that is interested in beginning a career in the automotive industry...No prior experience necessary – come willing to learn, and we will train you every step of the way! • Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm. Rotating Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm. Hourly Rate: $17 - $20, based on relevant experience Responsibilities: Washing, waxing, & buffing vehicles. Cleaning the interior of the vehicles. Responsible for the reconditioning of our inventory of vehicles. Responsible for keeping your work area clean. May be asked to upkeep inventory of vehicles (brushing snow off, cleaning after test drives, etc.). Assisting the Service department with out pick up and delivery and shuttle services. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills

Must be dependable, detail oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be flexible, organized and a motivated team player. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills

Experience in detailing or buffing.

The ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion tasks such as pushing snow off of surfaces as high as 7 feet, washing, waxing, etc. The ability to regularly traverse the 25 acre dealership property. The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including temperatures above 80 and below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
