Job Overview: RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to rotate between three practices. The APN will#be assisting with seeing new patients, follow ups, and same days appointments.

Primary Care Livingston#(200 S Orange Ave, Suite 230, Livingston) Millburn Primary Care (120 Millburn Ave, Suite 204, Millburn) 3699 US 46, Parsippany Schedule/Location M-F 8:30a-5p or 8a-4p 2 days in Livingston, 2 days in Millburn Wednesdays in Parsippany: admin time in the morning, patients in the afternoon Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure Master#s degree in Nursing required APN Licnese RN License NP Certification CDS and DEA CPR Certification BLS 2+ years of APP experience # Essential Functions Records#patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders, and transcribes orders Assists with various counseling and education functions Billing for patient services based on CMS and NJ State Board Regulations Demonstrates satisfactory knowledge and judgment to provide appropriate care for patients Develops plan of care for patients in coordination with multidisciplinary team and completes appropriate reports to physicians and family Documents and maintains patient records of services provided according to facility and nursing standards Examines patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicated Issues prescriptions to patients based on Federal # State Regulations Orders and reviews appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures Reviews all lab data and documents Participates in the development of protocols Performs and obtains a completed medical history and physical data on patients with appropriate documentation and findings Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations Performs procedures such as lumbar puncture (initially under direct supervision and once qualified independently) Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits Responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice Reviews and audits charts routinely Responsible for coordinating nursing and training programs on compliant for policies such as HIPPA, OSHA, Code of Conduct Works in collaboration with a physician to diagnose conditions as necessary Interviews, instructs and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors Listens and communicates effectively Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department, objectives, policies and procedures Demonstrates sound judgment; accepts and benefits from constructive criticism Participates in ongoing education as required
