JOB DESCRIPTION – MANAGER

  • HUMAN RESOURCES Position: Manager- Human Resources Organization: India Child Protection Location: New Delhi, India (HQ) Employment Type: Full-time (Contractual) Reporting To: Director-Human Resources About India Child Protection (ICP) India Child Protection (ICP), established in 2005, is a leading civil society organization committed to preventing child sexual exploitation, trafficking, child marriage, and all forms of violence against children. Through research, technology, capacity building, and strategic partnerships, ICP strengthens child protection systems across India. Working across 416 districts in 29 States and Union Territories, ICP collaborates with government agencies, law enforcement, the judiciary, and civil society organizations to build a safer future for every child. Job Role:- The Manager – Human Resources is responsible for implementing the organization's HR strategy and managing end-to-end human resource operations. The role oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, HR compliance, employee relations, HRMIS, and policy implementation while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace aligned with the mission and values of India Child Protection. Key Responsibility Areas:- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes. Coordinate workforce planning with department heads. Ensure smooth onboarding, induction, and probation management. Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience. HR Operations Manage employee lifecycle processes including appointments, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separations. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. Oversee HRMIS, attendance, leave, and personnel records. Ensure timely HR reporting and documentation. Performance Management Coordinate the organization's performance management system. Support managers in goal setting, appraisals, and performance reviews. Monitor performance improvement plans where required. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous feedback. Learning & Development Identify organizational training needs. Coordinate learning, capacity-building, and leadership development programmes. Monitor training effectiveness and maintain learning records. Promote continuous professional development. Employee Engagement & Relations Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace culture. Manage employee grievances and disciplinary processes. Promote employee well-being and workplace harmony. Facilitate communication between management and employees. HR Compliance Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements. Implement HR policies, procedures, and organizational guidelines. Support internal and external HR audits. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, POSH, and other organizational policies.

Compensation

& Benefits Support payroll coordination and salary administration. Administer employee benefits and insurance programmes. Maintain compensation records and support annual compensation reviews. HR Reporting & Analytics Prepare HR dashboards, MIS, and workforce reports. Analyse HR metrics to support decision-making. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR information.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely recruitment and onboarding of qualified candidates. Effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives. Accuracy and completeness of employee records and HR documentation. Efficient management of HRMIS, attendance, leave, and personnel data. Timely completion of performance management processes.

Effective coordination of learning and development programmes. Improved employee engagement and workplace satisfaction. Timely resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary matters. Compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and organizational policies. Timely preparation of HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.

Effective administration of compensation, benefits, and employee welfare programmes. Strong collaboration with departmental managers to address people-related needs. Successful implementation of employee engagement and retention initiatives. Continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and service delivery. Compliance with safeguarding, POSH, and Code of Conduct requirements.

Demonstration of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and commitment to the mission and values of India Child Protection. Educational Qualification Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, MBA (HR), Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional certification in Human Resources, Labour Laws, HR Analytics, or Organizational Development is desirable.

Additional certification in POSH, Talent Management, or Performance Management will be an added advantage. Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources. Experience in HR generalist functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations. Experience in NGOs, development organizations, or mission-driven organizations is preferred.

Working knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition. Experience in employee lifecycle management. Understanding of performance management systems. Knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR statutory compliance. Experience with HRMIS and HR analytics.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong HR policy implementation and documentation skills. Knowledge of payroll coordination and compensation administration.
