Job description

We are seeking a high-potential FP&A Senior Analyst to support the modernization and automation of FP&A capabilities in our Global Capability Center in Mumbai. The Senior analyst will be involved in financial reporting activities, including management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role is ideal for a candidate who is analytical, curious, technology‑forward, and eager to grow under the mentorship of the FP&A Manager.

You will work hands‑on with data - building automated reports, enhancing Power BI dashboards, validating ERP data, and supporting process redesign efforts. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn advanced analytics, BI tools, and financial storytelling. The role will work closely with FP&A team based out of US.

Essential Duties

Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages with clear visualizations and data‑driven commentary.

  • Conduct variance analysis on revenue, Opex, headcount, and other KPIs; identify drivers and trends.
  • Translate complex datasets into concise summaries for the FP&A Manager and senior business partners.
  • Assist in creating standardized data models and structured datasets with defined business rules.
  • Support the integration of ERP (Workday) data into reporting workflows and BI tools.
  • Assist in redesigning reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
  • Support FP&A Manager in preparing materials for senior leadership and business reviews.
  • Maintain documentation, controls, and version management for reports; Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements. Competencies
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills and ability to interpret trends and variances with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Power BI and related reporting tools.
  • Understanding of financial statements and basic accounting.
  • Ability to break down problems, analyze drivers, and identify insights.
  • Clear, concise communication style, and comfortable presenting numbers and insights in a structured format.
  • Growth mindset with eagerness to learn advanced BI tools, Workday/ERP systems, and automation techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Commerce, Science, IT or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting or analysis.
  • Proficient with Excel/Power BI and related reporting tools with familiarity to ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar).
  • Knowledge of financial statements and accounting concepts.
