Job description

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for an established technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Manager – Network Infrastructure to lead the planning, delivery, governance, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across large scale, multi-site environments.

This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and proven experience delivering resilient, scalable, and future-ready network solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Network Strategy & Infrastructure Delivery

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for network infrastructure aligned with business objectives and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Create high-level network designs, standards, and governance frameworks to support enterprise operations.
  • Lead the design, deployment, and operation of large-scale network infrastructures across core, WAN, access, wireless, and data center environments.
  • Ensure network architecture supports scalability, performance, security, resilience, and business continuity requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve network capabilities and operational efficiency. Project & Program Management
  • Lead complex network infrastructure projects from planning through execution and successful delivery.
  • Establish project governance frameworks and ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices.
  • Manage project scope, risks, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations effectively to senior management and stakeholders. Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
  • Establish and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets for network services.
  • Monitor network performance and service quality to ensure operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for service optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery procedures are maintained and regularly reviewed.
  • Oversee incident management processes and provide guidance for resolving complex infrastructure issues. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network engineers, project managers, and technical specialists.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure teams have the skills, tools, and resources necessary to meet operational and project objectives.
  • Support workforce planning, performance management, and professional development initiatives. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and business partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations, vendor evaluations, and SLA management activities.
  • Prepare and review RFPs, RFQs, technical evaluations, and procurement documentation.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure delivery of agreed services and contractual obligations. Risk Management & Compliance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with network infrastructure projects and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and security best practices.
  • Support business continuity, resilience, and risk management initiatives across network environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience managing enterprise-level network environments supporting large business organizations.
  • Extensive experience designing, delivering, and operating large-scale, multi-site, distributed network infrastructures.
  • Proven experience working within client operational environments involving multi-tenancy models, shared infrastructure, and service segregation.
  • Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols, security, resilience, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical leadership with strategic, operational, and managerial responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.
  • Experience managing budgets, procurement activities, vendor relationships, and complex technical contracts.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, service optimization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Significant experience leading and developing multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • CCIE (Service Provider, Enterprise Infrastructure, Wireless, or Data Center) certification highly preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is an advantage. Required Skillset: Enterprise Networking
  • Advanced knowledge of Routing & Switching technologies including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MP-BGP.
  • Expertise in MPLS technologies including LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS, AToM, CsC, MPLS-TE, Inter-AS, and FRR.
  • Strong understanding of WAN, LAN, wireless, and data center networking architectures. Network Virtualization & Cloud
  • Experience with virtualization and software-defined networking technologies including Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, SD-WAN, and SD-Access.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and integration of cloud services into enterprise environments. Security & Resilience
  • Expertise in VPN technologies including IPSec, DMVPN, GRE, and GETVPN.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, resilience frameworks, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience implementing capacity planning methodologies to support growth and performance requirements. Wireless Technologies
  • Proficiency in enterprise wireless networking including 802.11 standards, wireless controllers, RF management, SSID configuration, wireless security, tunneling, and encryption. Monitoring & Operations
  • Experience using enterprise monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities across complex network environments.
  • Ability to analyze network performance and implement optimization strategies.
